What Is Asbestos?
Asbestos is a naturally occurring product that was mined for, up until 2002 in South Africa. It was used in many different products because it is fire and chemical resistance. There are primarily three types of asbestos, Chrysolite (White asbestos), Crocidolite (Blue Asbestos) and Amosite (Brown Asbestos). Exposure to asbestos dust is dangerous and can cause a variety of potentially fatal diseases.

Common Uses
Because of its indestructible properties, it was used in products that was exposed to extreme conditions such as weather and heating components. Examples are Brake pads, Ceilings, Roof sheets, heaters, tiles, facia boards, rope and seals.

Health Risk
Asbestos products that are bonded does not pose a major health risk. Broken asbestos and loose fibres poses a major health risk to us and contact should be avoided. Types of diseases- Asbestosis (Also called white lung and symptoms include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and can be fatal) – Lung Cancer (Cancer cells can reduce your lungs ability to function properly . The cancer cells can also spread to other part of your body.) – Mesothelioma (This disease forms in the lining of the lung and abdominal cavities. This disease can take up to 40 years to develop and cannot be cured) ENSA is registered with the department of labour as an asbestos contractor. All work is strictly done according to a work plan, approved by the department of labour. A notification of asbestos work to be done is also send to the department of labour.

Soil Bio-Remediation
Bench mark soil samples will be taken to determine the TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon) Level of contamination. Treat contaminated soil with Organic SoilTreat Bacteria and Nutrients. SoilTreat bacteria also act as an absorbent and will encapsulate all oils and fuels and will not leach or contaminate groundwater.

High Pressure Cleaning
Use OilGone XT Degreaser to clean hydrocarbon contaminated cement, crushed stone and/or hard surfaces with high pressure equipment where applicable.
